Pascual Bravo shootout left one dead
A fight between two students, attributed by police to the sale of hallucinogenic sparked afirefight that cost the life of one of them. The Institute will remain closed until Monday, and the ITM.
Auna dispute over control of the sale of drugs within the Instituto Tecnológico Pascual Bravo, yesterday blamed the authorities gun battle that took place at educational event in which a youth was killed, another wounded and a Woman injured by a stray bullet.
"It turned a deceased person, a student of Electromechanics, two captured, one wounded and injured Mrs.," the Metropolitan Police commander, General Yesid Vasquez Prada, on the outskirts of the technology center.
The facts involving students of the institution with the management of places of vice, the general said Vasquez.
"The Institute had two places of vice, each led by a different group. There were students unfortunately in this business," he admitted.
General Vasquez noted that the police response were captured two of the youths confronted and seized two 38 caliber revolvers, weapons which the shots came.
"There is a reaction of the police with the help of students and people working at the Institute that will tell us who participated in this event as unfortunate," he said.
"There has not been identified the dead boy, is known to be a student of Electromechanics", stressed the general Vazquez, adding that "one of those caught with firearms is also the same program."
However, he noted that in fact a third person was involved, unaware of the Instituto Tecnológico Pascual Bravo. "Another person involved in the events that is not part of the institute, but it seems that was the one who distributed the drugs for sale," he said.
For the officer, the facts perhaps could have been avoided with timely reporting of the illegal business that was in college.
In critical condition, the captured who was wounded in the crossfire was taken to Hospital Pablo Tobon Uribe, where at press time was undergoing surgery after being shot in the abdomen.
In the same hospital she was treated the woman who was injured during the shooting.The authorities stated that it was an employee of one of the cafeterias at the ITM, which at the time gave a luncheon at the Pascual Bravo.
